"My experience in Zanzibar was imperfectly perfect. I went to teach, yet I became their student. I observed what brought them joy, such as the simple act of jumping. I realized that there was no barriers, I only needed to find a different way to connect with kids and deliver lessons; like an artist that uses the expression of dance to deliver an emotion. I embraced the beauty of slowing down and letting go of unnecessary worries “hakuna matata”- a way of life embodied by locals in Zanzibar."
